Navigate 2.0: Outside the Classroom

At Navigate the Maze to Achievement, education extends beyond the classroom. Navigate 2.0 equips students with the mentorship, resources, and academic support needed to excel in rigorous learning environments at every stage of their journey.

And this program isn’t just for Navigate students—it’s for everyone. Navigate 2.0 will be an open-access resource, ensuring that all students have access to the tools and guidance needed to reach their full academic potential.

Why Representation Matters

For Black and Latino students, representation isn’t just important—it’s transformative. When they see peers who look like them thriving in competitive academic spaces, it affirms that they belong and that their goals are within reach. But representation benefits all students. Research shows that diverse learning environments improve problem-solving, foster innovation, and create stronger, more inclusive communities.

Peer-Led Learning Through Video Technology

Black and Latino students, our Navigators, will teach and mentor their peers through instructional videos that break down academic concepts at their grade level. These videos will provide:

Step-by-step problem-solving techniques

Study strategies to build confidence in rigorous coursework

By making challenging material more accessible, we ensure that students at all levels can engage, grow, and succeed.

Seeing the Possibilities: Navigators in Gifted & Accelerated Programs

Navigate 2.0 goes beyond academic instruction—it provides real stories from real students. Black and Latino Navigators will share their experiences in gifted and talented programs, specialized high schools, and other advanced academic spaces, offering:

A firsthand look at what it takes to succeed

Inspiration for younger students to envision themselves in these spaces

By showing what’s possible, Navigate 2.0 empowers students to pursue opportunities with confidence and ambition.

Coming in 2026.
